Brad "Mongo" Sosnowsky

Brad graduated from Boston University in 1988 receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.  He participated in organized wrestling  through college and eventually became a professional Thai Boxer, as well as earning a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2013.  Brad has a 25 year military and federal law enforcement career with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves, Naval Criminal Investigative Service, U.S. Secret Service, and U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration retiring in 2014.  While with the USSS, Brad provided security for Presidents George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush and their families.  In addition to his investigative and security duties as a Special Agent, Brad was a certified tactical and defensive tactics instructor for NCIS and a firearm, tactical and defensive tactics instructor for USSS & DEA.  He also successfully completed the FBI Firearm Instructor course.  After transferring to DEA in 1999, Brad was assigned to multiple overseas drug eradication units, the DEA Administrator’s Security Detail and the DEA Academy Firearm and Tactical Training Units in Quantico, Virginia.  Brad has provided counter-narcotics training to the Nigerian National Drug Law Enforcement Agency and worked for an Israeli American security firm providing security for the American and Israeli Public Affairs Committee.  Brad has also been consulted by firearm product manufacturers regarding product development.

Jorge Alveraz

Jorge is an avid shooter with a long history of competitive shooting as he is an active member with International Defensive Pistol Association, U.S. Practical Shooting Association, Glock Shooting Sports Foundation, and Tropical Sports Shooting Association. Jorge is an active Firearms Instructor with the NRA as well as a Range Safety Officer and a Certified Glock Armorer. Additionally Jorge has practiced martial arts for several years studying Wing Chung at North American Wing Chung, American Dragon Martial Arts at Second Gen, and is a black belt in Muay Tai since October 2009. For Centerfire, Jorge handles the Carry Concealed Weapons classes and is an assistant instructor for pistol and rifle tactical classes.

Randy Brandt

Randy graduated from The Citadel in 1976 receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He began a 34 year police career in 1976 at the Charleston Police Dept. in South Carolina. During his tenure at CPD, he was assigned as a Uniform Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, Arrest Warrant Investigator, and SWAT Officer. As a Sergeant with CPD, he supervised patrol squads and criminal investigations. From 1988 to 2010, he was employed with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) as a Special Agent. While at the DEA, Randy directed and worked on basic and complex narcotics investigations, both domestic and international, resulting in numerous arrests, drug asset seizures, and the dismantling of criminal organizations. He managed and operated a US Attorney General exempt undercover self account operation utilized to launder drug proceeds for the purpose of investigating financial crimes. Randy was a certified DEA Firearms Instructor, Tactical Instructor, and Training Agent.  Randy currently instructs Centerfire's Buy-Bust Operations, Reverse-Sting Operations, and Managing Confidential Sources. 

Irving "Irv" Gelbert

Irving Gelbart retired as a Lieutenant from the Miami-Dade Police Dept. after 30 years of service. Irv has been the Special Operations Commander of the Intracoastal District responsible for overseeing the Crime Prevention Unit, Community Policing Squads, Crime Suppression Squads and the Bicycle and Beach Patrol. Previous he served as a Uniform Platoon Commander, as well as the Intracoastal District’s Special Events Commander. He also served the Northwest District’s FTO Coordinator, and as one of the Communications Bureau and Transit Section’s Police Shift Commanders. Earlier in his career, Irv has been a Uniform Patrol Sergeant and a detective in Robbery. He attended the University of Miami for his Master’s Degree in Public Administration, and has his Bachelors in Human Resource Management. He is a graduate of the University of Louisville’s Southern Police Institute’s Command Officers Development Course as well as being a certified NRA Instructor.
