Active Shooter: Prevention & Protection - 1 Hour Seminar

Course Description: One hour lecture delivered over a PowerPoint presentation to outline prevention techniques of Active Shooter situations as well as protective strategies when an Active Shooter event transpires. This seminar is given by current or retired law enforcement officers through lecture, video, and PowerPoint.Topics covered include but not limited to: Active Shooter definition, Identification of pre-violence indicators, Assisting victims of psychological stress, Mental stress characteristics, Assessing your facilities risk, Protections steps, Lockdown Procedures, Run; leaving the premises, Hide; barricade in place, Fight; methods of last resort, Interaction with First Responders.

Duration and Fees: 1 hour, $50.00 flat fee for private groups

Active Shooter: Prevention & Protection - 4 Hour Seminar and Workshop for Staff/Students

Course Description: Four-hour training delivered over a PowerPoint presentation that includes the General Lecture with the addition of a more involved look and explanation of identification of pre-indicators with a psychological approach, then if in the event an Active Shooter incident occurs, how to protect against it in your specific facility. Topics covered include but not limited to: Active Shooter definition, Identification of pre-violence indicators, Assisting victims of psychological stress, Mental stress characteristics, Assessing your facilities risk, Protections steps, Lockdown Procedures, Run; leaving the premises, Hide; barricade in place, Fight; methods of last resort, Interaction with First Responders, First Aid/CPR/AED, Assisting Escape, Accountability and Attendance, Practice Drills.

Active Shooter: Prevention & Protection - 4 Hour Seminar and Workshop for Management

Topics covered include but not limited to: Active Shooter definition, Identification of pre-violence indicators, Assisting victims of psychological stress, Mental stress characteristics, Assessing your facilities risk, Protections steps, Lockdown Procedures, Run; leaving the premises, Hide; barricade in place, Fight; methods of last resort, Interaction with First Responders, First Aid/CPR/AED, Mass Casualty and Medical Management, Lockdown Management, Assisting Escape, Accountability and Attendance, Policy & Procedures, Practice Drills, Is your Private Security Company or In-House security Properly Trained, Training your Staff, Use of Deadly Force considerations.

Active Shooter: Prevention & Protection - Combo 2 Hours Staff/Students / 2 Hours Management

Course Description: This class is designed to offer a combined lesson plan of the two above classes. 2 Hours will be dedicated to the applicable information for staff/students and the later two hours will be dedicated to management/supervisors to cover survival and management before during, and after an active shooter event.

Active Shooter: Unarmed Security Response 

Course Description: This class is designed to let the unarmed security officer have a better understanding regarding what to do in the event of an Active Shooter incident occurring on their shift at their specific facility. It's primary purpose is to show security officers what actions to take for their own personal safety, as well as what procedures to take to assist others from getting out of harms way. This class is taught by current and former law enforcement officers as well as security supervisors through lecture, video, and PowerPoint. Some of the topics covered are: Workplace violence definition, Identification of pre-violence indicators, Mental stress characteristics, Assessing your facilities risks, Run; leaving the premises, Hide; barricade in place, Fight; methods of last resort, Interaction and Coordination with First Responders, Mass Casualty, Medical Management, Tactical Combat Casualty Care, Lockdown Procedures, Assisting Escape, Accountability and Attendance, Policy & Procedures, Practice Drills.

Active Shooter: Armed Security / Law Enforcement Response 

Course Description: This is intensive, team oriented training course geared towards the armed security officer or law enforcement patrol officer. It is ideal for SROs or smaller agencies where waiting for a full team to arrive is not an acceptable option. This scenario based course covers the entire spectrum of the active shooter missions to the point of turning control over to tactical units. There is heavy emphasis on team building and communication throughout the training. Classes are about 30 percent classroom/70 percent practical exercises. Major topics include: History, Equipment, Mental preparation, Human decision cycle, Exterior/Open air tactics, Breaching setups- exterior/interior, Hallway movement, Room Entries - 2 person/4 person, Collapsing/Searching a room, Medical contingencies, Link ups with other units, Scene consolidation, Scene stabilization.
